The Internet Technical Advisory Committee to the OECD (ITAC) has participated to the OECD High-Level Meeting on “The Internet Economy: Generating Innovation and Growth”, which was held on 28-29 June 2011 at the OECD Headquarters in Paris.
ITAC was invited to fully participate in the meeting and contribute to its formal outcome. Four representatives of ITAC organizations were invited by the OECD as speakers at this major event:
- Vint Cerf, Member of the ARIN board, representing Number Resource Organization (NRO), spoke in the session on Global Trends for the Internet (speaking points).
- Tim Berners-Lee, Director, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), spoke in the session on Balancing Policy Goals to Strengthen Growth.
- Leslie Daigle, Chief Internet Technology Officer, Internet Society (ISOC), spoke in the session on Balancing Policy Goals to Strengthen Growth (speaking points).
- John Sabo, Chair ID Trust Member Section Steering Committee, Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS), spoke in the session on Policy Making Principles for an Open Internet (speaking points).
